Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

As salaamu alaikum

I’m a bit anxious right now. Ramadan will be starting this week, Inshallah. I also have a Sociology exam as well as a little paper due for it. I think that I will pass Inshallah. I’m just anxious b/c I want an A. If I can get a 4.0 this semester, my overall GPA will rise to a 3.75, which should help to make me more competetive when applying to transfer this spring.
What I’m even more worried about Ramadan. This is the first Ramadan that I think I am taking really seriously and it seems as if everything is coming up. I have at least three midterms this month (including the Sociology exam I just mentioned) as well as a paper due on the Souls of Black Folks. I don’t want my school work to interfere with Ramadan at all. My Islam is more important. I really need to focus on my Islam. I actually want to finish the entire Qu’ran this Ramadan, which means that I’m going to have read more than one Juz (30th) a day. This is on top of the reading that I already have for class. I really need to pray to Allah (swt) to be given the strength and time management necessary to complete all my tasks and to complete all of them well.
I also have my extracurriculars to contend with. Inshallah, I’ll be starting work this month with the children of Pennell. I’m also trying to become more active with the Muslim Youth Committee at my masjid. I also joined the Philadelphia LEADS Program at my college and I joined the Community Service subcommittee. Thinking about all this makes me go . I must master the skill of time management. Please make dua (supplication) for me that will become insane by the end of the month.
Speaking of time manangement, I’m going to stop here and hit the book. Argghhh! I feel so bad, I really do have a lot of thoughts about a lot issues swimming in my head. I just haven’t really had the time to get them out. Inshallah, I’ll get them out soon.
Take care.
