Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
As salaamu alaikum
So much has changed in my life since my last entry. Ramadan has longed past but it’s spirit remains. I loved this past Ramadan. It was truly wonderful for so many reasons. Firstly, it really was a spiritual renewal that I desperately needed. The constant salat and the time with the Believers was so good for my soul. In addition, I met a special person.
Towards the end of Ramadan, I met my intentdent. He is a wonderful brother from Cleveland. He came to my masjid with a group of other brothers from the mid-West who come to the masjid on occasion to give lectures on Arabic and other topics. We’ve set a tentative date for May. Inshallah, everything will go well. Please make du’a (supplication) for us.
Classes have ended and finals time is here. I’m not really too worried. For some reason, I never get stressed over finals. I’d rather do finals over a term papers any day. I’m in very calm space as far as academics go. I am doing well in all my classes so far, Alhamduillah! The best grade I received this semester was a perfect 100 on my term paper for my Human Sexuality course about Gender Roles and Sexuality for Muslim women. I think my professor was quite impressed with my paper. I was really surprised by the grade because the paper was a bit rushed. Alhamduillah that it was receieved well.
